- 1 can (15 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Burger buns and desired toppings (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)
Prepare the Black Bean Mixture:
In a large bowl, mash the black beans using a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth but with some chunks remaining.
