Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz condensed cream of chicken soup)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon onion powder, or other preferred seasonings)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish or similar size with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked egg noodles, frozen peas and carrots mix, condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and any optional seasonings. Stir until well combined.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, ensuring the flavors are well balanced.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and melted butter until well combined.
  • Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  • After 25-30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  • Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve the Chicken Noodle Casserole warm, and enjoy!
