For the smoothie:
- 1 medium banana sliced and frozen
- ¾ cup 180ml unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- ½ cup 120ml ice cubes
- ¼ cup 60ml whole-milk plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons 30g smooth peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons 5g cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the chocolate shell:
- 1 tablespoon 10g mini chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
- ¾ teaspoon coconut oil
- A pinch of flaky sea salt optional
Blend the smoothie
Add the frozen banana, almond milk, ice cubes, yogurt, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract to a blender.
Blend on high speed for 30–40 seconds until smooth and creamy.
Pour into a 16-ounce (450ml) glass and place in the freezer for 10 minutes to slightly firm up the surface.
Make the chocolate shell
In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil.
Microwave on high for 45 seconds, then stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Add honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
- Use 70% dark chocolate for a richer chocolate flavor.
