Instructions

Prepare the Tofu:

  • Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut the tofu into 1/2 to 3/4-inch cubes.

Marinate the Tofu:

  • In a medium bowl or a large sealable plastic bag, combine the soy sauce, lime juice, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  • Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly. Refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours, stirring once or twice to ensure the tofu absorbs the marinade.

Roast the Tofu:

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Remove the tofu from the marinade with a slotted spoon and discard the marinade.
  • Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer on two large baking sheets, making sure the pieces don’t touch.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, flipping the tofu halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Tips:
  • Make Ahead: Marinate the tofu for up to 4 hours. You can store the roasted tofu in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Gluten-Free Option: Use gluten-free soy sauce if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.
